With the Queen Mary’s proud military service in World War II, it’s no surprise that the legendary ship has become a favorite amongst our brave men and women in uniform. Dubbed “The Grey Ghost” during her military service, the Queen Mary transported thousands of American troops and broke several speed records along the way. Today, the Queen Mary serves as a reminder of the Great War and a living tribute to those who fought to defend freedom and democracy throughout the years.
With over 80,000 square feet of event space in 14 Art Deco salons, the Queen Mary is the ideal venue for military reunions of any size. The Queen Mary also offers two adjacent spaces for large-scale military themed events - the Queen Mary Dome and the Queen Mary Events Park, which offer expansive room for gatherings of up to 6,000 people.
Formerly the home of Howard Hughes’ Spruce Goose, the Queen Mary Dome is visually striking and a modern contrast to the elegant beauty of the Queen Mary. With 70,000 square feet of space and 130-foot tall ceilings, the Queen Mary Dome is the ideal venue for large-scale recreational events or productions with capacity up to 600 people.
