Spirit of '45 Weekend

Join us as we step back in time to August, 1945 and celebrate the Spirit of America's Greatest Generation!

The Queen Mary will celebrate the Spirit of '45 from 10AM - 6PM on Saturday and Sunday Aug. 9-10, with World War II re-enactors, WWII vehicle(s), special WWII tours, a special USO Dance, live entertainment and more. In addition, on Sunday, Aug. 10 - The Queen Mary will host a USO Dance in the Capstan room from 5PM - 9:30PM, featuring the Best Swing Vocal Ensemble, The Stardust Trip with the Sentimental Sisters, The Lindy Sisters and 40s music all night long!

The Queen Mary will also host a special Spirit of '45 WWII History Tour on Saturday and Sunday.

Spirit of '45 Day recognizes the achievements and positive values the men and women who were the 'ordinary heroes' of the generation that endured the difficult times of the Great Depression, fought and won WWII, and then participated in an unprecedented effort to rebuild the world by laying the foundations for a better future for their children and their children's children, for friend and former enemy alike.

On Sunday, The Queen Mary has secured a North American T-6/SNJ flyover as part of our Vintage Warplane demonstration.
