Queen Mary Art Contest

The Queen Mary pleased to announce a nationwide art contest for children:

• Who: The contest will be open to all individual children (no group submissions allowed) nationwide from Kindergarten to Grade Eight.
• What: Create the best artwork representing the Queen Mary. This can be in the form of a painting, a sculpture or any medium that the child chooses.
• When: Contest submissions must be postmarked no later than October 31, 2009
• Where: The artwork may be displayed on the Ship, in the Sundeck Art Gallery and on the Queen Mary's website while the contest is running. The winners' artwork will also be sent, through the LA Unified School District, to the Dalai Lama.
• Prizes: There will be three sets of prizes, one for each age group (K-2, 3-5, 6-8). The prizes will be:
  1st Place - Two night stay, with breakfast and tours for the winner and their immediate family (up to 4 people)
  2nd Place - Two General Admission passes good for 12 months for as many visits as they like
  3rd Place - Sunday Brunch for four
  4th Place - Copy of book, 'The Queen Mary Story'

The artwork and entry form should be mailed to the marketing department at the Queen Mary, and will not be returned. The Queen Mary will reserve all rights to use the artwork for display purposes.
